Wah...has been a while again.>< Holidays have been goin too fast...
First thing i have to say is..
APPLESEED is the best animation movie i've seen so far...right next to Production IG's Innocence. My gosh, i just watched it last nite and it was absolutely magical. utterly magical, i'm speechless...It gloriously exploits new age animation techniques. Match that with a highly emotional plot on the complexities of human existence and relationships..you have a masterpiece ^_~.
The opening action scene already got me hooked and there were plenty more. It did a great job in plot/action balancing. The action was just right, not tooo much to deviate the viewer from the story. The story itself is along the lines of Innocence, GITs and even IRobot. heh But that's only to be expected since it's by the legendary Masamune Shirow. The 3D animation was superb. The lighting was done very well. I absolutely loved the scenery, cars, planes and Land Mates animation (I wanna get a model of those)....oooh and who can forget the spider cannons..wahh.... With the characters in 3D shading as well..made it all sooo real. I felt like i was watching a real life movie...(Oh yeh..Deunan's lover kinda reminds me of a mecha from Armored Core 3..LOLz)

All of Shirow's protagonists are admirable. Major in GITS...and Deunan Knute..(and Athena in some ways) in this movie. Strong physically and mentally. Intelligent and in control of their own lives. ^_^
Some anime portray characters as demure and weak..those series only provide temporary entertainment for me. e.g. DearS and many others...esp those ones geared towards guys. LOLz
CG is usually realli nice (cos they are taken straight from hgames..LOLz) but their characters aren't appealing at all, that's why i'm a big Masamune Shirow fan.
Overall Appleseed is a very very memorable movie. I'm gonna watch it again. ^_^ Hope it doesn't make me cry second time round...>< hehe
Anywayz on other things..
I've finally finished my S Gundam...moving onto another one nowz...
Was obsessed with NFSU2 for a while..now that i've got all the cars i want i've stopped. hehe =P mx5, rx8, 350Z, 3000gt.
I'll get my 5th car some day..hehe
Going to HK in a few weeks time..must start writing a list.....wheeeee
